Managing Notification Preferences

You can control which notifications you receive and through which channels.

Accessing your preferences

  1. Click your profile icon in the top navigation
  2. Go to Profile settings
  3. Find the Notification Preferences section

How preferences work

Notification preferences are stored per channel (e.g. email) and per notification type. By default, all notifications are enabled — you only need to change preferences if you want to opt out of specific notifications.

For each notification type, you can choose whether to receive it via:

  • Email — toggle on or off

H&S notification opt-in

If you have the Owner role, you have an additional setting:

  • Receive H&S notifications — when enabled, you'll receive the same notifications as H&S admins (check failures, overdue alerts, defect reports, etc.)

This is off by default for owners. Enable it if you want to stay informed about day-to-day H&S events across the organisation.

Recommendations by role

H&S AdminKeep all notifications enabled — you're the primary person who needs to know
Site ManagerKeep all notifications enabled for your site
SupervisorKeep check reminders and defect assignments enabled
OperatorCheck reminders and defect assignments are most relevant
ContractorDefect assignments and the contractor summary are most relevant

TIP

If you're finding email notifications overwhelming, consider keeping in-app notifications enabled but turning off email for less critical notification types. You can always check the notification bell in the app for a full list.
